Halvio Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 June 2026

Halvio ("we", "us", "the app") is an expense-sharing application that lets you split expenses with groups, track balances, and settle up. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

How we use your information

Natural-language expense entry

Halvio offers an optional natural-language expense entry feature. If you use it, the text you enter is sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter) and the upstream model for parsing only. We do not use this text for training, and our provider does not retain it. You can always enter expenses manually instead.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Expense and balance information you create is visible to the other members of the groups you belong to, which is necessary for the app to function. We use Google Sign-In to authenticate you; your use of Google services is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers we control and is protected with industry-standard measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Authentication uses signed tokens.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Children's privacy

Halvio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
